The West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) has released the results of 2017 private WASSCE exams, popularly known as Nov/Dec.
The council said it has withheld the results of some 1,873 candidates who took the exams due to suspects acts of malpractices.
A total of 128,707 candidates wrote the exams in various centers across the country.
A statement signed by Reverend Victor Brew, the acting Director, on behalf of the Head of the National Office of WAEC, said and copied to the Ghana News Agency on Thursday.
It said the withheld results would be released as soon as the Council concludes its investigations.
“The results of 1,873 candidates alleged to have been involved in various examination malpractices have been withheld pending the conclusion of investigations into the cases of malpractices. The withheld results will be released as soon as the Council concludes its investigations,” the statement said.
The statement also urged various institutions to be mindful of fake WAEC certificates being presented to them and urged them to verify the authenticity of each results using its verification system available at the head office or via www.waecgh.org.
