Two men taken to hospital after ‘double stabbing’ in south London

Two men have been injured in a suspected double stabbing in south London.

Police have closed Royal Hill in Greenwich following the incident, which happened on Friday afternoon.

A witness told News Shopper: ‘A young man has been stabbed twice.

‘A policewoman nearby apprehended a suspect.’

Shops nearby are reportedly in ‘lockdown’ and there is a heavy police presence at the scene outside the former Greenwich Police Station.

A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said two men were treated at the scene.

One was taken as a priority to a major trauma centre in London, while the other was taken to hospital.
