Thirteen students of the Islamic Senior High School have landed themselves into trouble after they uploaded a video of themselves joining in the ‘One Corner’ dance craze in class .
In the video that has gone viral on social media, nine females and four males were seen gyrating their waist in a ‘profane’ fashion that the school authorities apparently thought was against the doctrines of the Islamic Religion.
Meanwhile, the Council of Imams and Zongo Chiefs in the Ashanti Region have condemned the thirteen students of the Islamic Senior High School (ISSEC) who were captured in a video dancing to the popular ‘one corner’ song in class.
They further called for a strict disciplinary action against them.
In a radio interview, secretary to the group, Ustaz Ahmed Seidu argued that a strict disciplinary action against those in the video would serve as a deterrent to others.
“They should be punished to serve as a deterrent to others. As a council, we will try to sit with the authorities and see a punishment that will be mild. We are not calling for them to be expelled from school because we are told they are final year students. So they should be made to write their exams,” he added.
