A train passenger who was publicly shamed for taking off his shoes and socks on a packed train and putting his bare feet on the seat in front of him has spoken out.

Antiques collector Andrew Dignan was confronted on the lunchtime service from Buxton to Manchester and reportedly had one of his shoes thrown off the train for allegedly refusing to move.
