2017 BECE: SHS placement website down

The website to enable 2017 BECE candidates check their placement online is down, 233livenews.com has learnt.

A number of BECE candidates with the hope of checking their placement on myjhsresult.net, are being greeted with an error message as the website has apparently gone down.

GES releases hotlines to address BECE placement issues

According to the error message, the site may be temporarily unavailable or too busy.

Candidates however have the option of using their mobile phones to check their placement.

To receive details of your school placement: Text your index number + year of completion to short code 1060.

For instance, if you completed your exams in 2017 and your index number is 1234567890, text 123456789017 to short code 1060 on all networks. 

NOTE: Do not add [SPACE] between the index number and the year of exams.

The Computerized School Selection System Placements (CSSPS) yesterday released the Senior High School placements candidates of the 2017 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

A total of 424,092, representing 92% of the total registered candidates for the exams, qualified for placement.

Out the number, 150,770 candidates could not be placed to schools of their choice.

The CSSPS however added that those who could not be placed to school of their choice have been given a second chance to choose a school.
