GES suspends transfer of both teaching and non-teaching staff

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has suspended with immediate effect, the transfer of all categories of staff both teaching and non-teaching.

According to the GES, for the avoidance of doubt, mid-stream transfer is also included in the ban, adding that if for any special reason or unavoidable circumstances a transfer has to be made, permission should be sought from the Director-General.

A statement signed by the Director-General, Mr A.M Kor, it is the expectation of Management that Regional/District Directors of Education, Managers of Educational Units and Heads of Institutions would disseminate the information.
