The Presidential transition team has announced the various plans put in place ahead of the swearing-in of Ghana’s president-elect, Nana Akufo-Addo.
The team at a press briefing announced among other things that about 5,000 security officers are expected in and around the Independence Square where the event will be held.
About 60,000 guests are expected to witness the event and this includes members of the diplomatic corps. About 11 heads of states are also expected, including Ivory Coast President, Allassane Ouattara and ECOWAS Chair, Ellen Johnson Sirlef, Sierra Leone President.
Some major streets will be block ahead of the start of the event.
A media centre as also be created to facilitate the work of the various media organizations who would want to cover the event.
