Scores of angry supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are reported to have attacked popular Ghanaian actor Wofa K after the declaration of their Presidential candidate as the winner of the December 7 polls.
233livenews.com gathered that the supporters stormed Wofa K’s home and slashed him, leaving wounds on his cheeks.
It is believed that the actor was targeted for the attack because he had featured in numerous video clips endorsing the candidature of opposition and incumbent President John Mahama for a second term.
Wofa K is famed for creating slogans such as ‘E dey bee k3k3’ and ‘No abaabase’ for President Mahama in his 2012 and 2016 campaigns.
President John Mahama lost the general elections to NPP’s Akufo Addo by with 44% of total valid votes cast to the latter’s 53%.
