The Ministry of Roads and Highways acting through the Department of Urban Roads has announced the temporary closure of the Shiashie section of the Tetteh Quarshie-Madina road to facilitate the construction of a pedestrian footbridge on the stretch.
According to a statement signed by the Deputy Director of Panning and Development at the department, Ing. Akwasi Nuamah and copied to 233livenews, the closure will allow the contractor M/s Waagner Biro Bridge Systems Ag. “continue the footbridge works”.
The road closure begins on Friday 27th November 2015 and ends on Sunday 29th November, 2015 between 11pm and 4am.
All vehicles that may otherwise use the road during the closure hours are expected to use alternative roads.
“The necessary traffic management measures have been put in place to guide motorist,” the statement said.
