The Association of Catholic Teachers, Ashanti Regional Province has extended a congratulatory message to Mr. Mr Jacob Aaworb-Nang Maabobr Kor on his confirmation as the Director-General of the Ghana Education Service.
A statement signed by the Kumasi province coordinator, Williams Boakye-Baafi, said Mr. Jacob Kor’s confirmation was well deserved considering his dedication to service and hardwork.
“We are convinced that with the spirit of humility, dedication, hardwork and commitment to duty you will turn the face of GES to proper perspective” the statement said.
“We pledge our support and prayer as an association to your administration. It is our prayer. It is our prayer that the Lord who appointed you to such high office of GES will contnue to guide, protect, strengthen, encourage and inspire you” it continued.
The Association further expressed hope that Mr. Kor’s appointers will allow him to give out his best in the 4-year mandate.
President John Dramani Mahama, in consultation with the Ghana Education Service (GES) Council and the Public Services Commission confirmed the appointment of Mr Jacob Aaworb-Nang Maabobr Kor as the Director-General of the GES on Wednesday.
A statement signed by Reverend Jonathan Betty of the Public Relations Unit said the appointment took retrospective effect from August 18, 2015, having served as acting head of the GES since January this year.
