Injured Prempeh College Student Discharged From Hospital

prempeh collegeKofi Tabiri Boateng, a final year student of Prempeh College who got injured after falling from a three-storey dormitory block, has been discharged from hospital.

Master Boateng, a Science student, has been on admission at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) since Friday, when he together with a deceased mate fell from the top floor of the Opoku Ware Hall.

Samuel Asare Bediako, a final year Business student, could not survive the accident.

The two were said to be engaging in a wild prank while sitting on the rails on the top floor.

Police have since begun investigations into the incident.

Students at assembly Monday morning, our correspondent reports, sung the school’s anthem to lift up their spirits after fear gripped the school on Friday.

Headmaster of the College Emmanuel Yeboah, TV3’s William Evans Nkum reports, asked students to be mindful of the lives they lead while in school, describing the accident as unnecessary.
