Prince Nawaaf Bin Abdul Aziz, the Saudi King Salman’s elder brother and his special advisor, has died at the age of 83. He died on Tuesday and will be buried in Makkah on Wednesday after the Isha prayer in the Grand Mosque, the Royal Court announced in a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Prince Nawwaf was born in 1933. He was the 22nd son of King Abdul Aziz. He is survived by five children.
He was appointed minister of finance in 1961 and was chief of the general intelligence from 2001 to 2005.
