#Facebookdown Becomes No. 1 Trend Worldwide As Facebook Shutsdown

Within minutes, #Facebookdown became the number 1 trend worldwide on Twitter after Facebook suffered a system shutdown.

Millions of users on the social networking platform on Thursday experienced blackout of service as they were unable to log into their accounts to connect with friends.

They were greeted with the message “Sorry Something went wrong. We’re working on it and we’ll get it fixed as soon as we can.”

At this time, several thousands of posts had began pouring in on rival social networking platform Twitter with some ‘disturbed’ Facebook users talking about their frustration using the hashtag #Facebookdown.

It took about 10 minutes to have service restored. Even after that, the comments kept flooding unto twitter.

This black out comes a day after Facebook launched its 360 video service. No reason has been given yet for the occurrence.
