BECE Candidates Offered Opportunity to Confirm Their Selected SHS

BECECandidates who wrote this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination can now check to confirm their selected choice of Senior High Schools. This information can be accessed via text.

The Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) will allow the students to see the schools they chose as a means of ensuring transparency in the placement process.

The CSSPS is a system used by the Ghana Education Service (GES) to place qualified Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates into Senior High School (SHS), Technical Institutes (TI) and Vocational Institutes and have been operational for the past 5 years.

To receive details of the school you chose: Text your index number + year of completion to short code 1060.

For instance, if you completed your exams in 2015 and your index number is 12345678910, text 1234567891015 to short code 1060 on all networks (MTN, Vodafone, Airtel, Tigo, and Expresso)

NOTE: Do not add [SPACE] between the index number and the year of exams

Do not write the full year [2015]. Write [15]
