In a strong-worded video this morning, following by-elections in the Talensi Constituency on Tuesday, A-Plus noted that political leaders have deliberately turned a bling eye to the situation which persisted more than 20 years after Ghana became a democratic country.
The by-elections was characterized by violence and brutal attacks by supposed loyalists of the National Democratic Congress; Azorka Boys and some youth believed to be loyalists of the New Patriotic Party; the Bolga Bull Dogs.
Some members of both political parties were injured and hospitalized with several cars damaged by gun shots and stones as a result of the attack and counter attacks.
A-Plus who has been very vocal on political and governance issues in Ghana bemoaned the incidence of violence during elections and predicted similar happenings will be seen during the 2016 general elections.
