Samuel Eto’o Launches Campaign To Tackle Boko Haram

Samuel Eto'o and friendsCameroon forward, Samuel Eto’o has launched an initiative to assist victims of Boko Haram attacks in the country.

The initiative, a fundraising campaign is dubbed “Yellow Whistle Blower” and seeks to raise funds for Non-Governmental Organizations that are currently assisting refugees who were displaced by the growing threat posed by the terror group.

The campaign is represented with a yellow whistle.

The whistle symbolizes “the need to raise the alarm against a degrading situation which has to be stopped.”

An estimated $58 million dollars is needed by NGOs in Cameroon to cater for refugees according to the UNHCR.

Samuel Eto’o enlisted several of his friends including, Chelsea Captain, John Terry, Ghanaian midfielder, Sulley Muntari and Ivorian Striker, Gervinho to help him raise awareness on this unfortunate situation.
