Former Youth and Sports Minister, Mahama Ayariga has denied media reports that he intends to buy shares in Ghanaian premier league side, Medeama FM.
The Bawku Central MP in a Facebook post Friday morning denied ever meeting with anyone within or outside the said club for talks on the purchase of shares.
“I categorically deny the story, it comes from the imagination of a journalist whose clear intentions of writing this story I cannot relate to or understand.”
Mahama Ayariga who was until March 14 this year the Youth and Sports minister lamented why the falsehood was perpetuated in the media without verification from him, stating that the story was “the imagination of a journalist whose clear intentions of writing this story I cannot relate to or understand.”
Mahama Ayariga, now the minister for Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation in February this year bought Ghanaian Division One side, Tamale All Stars which is expected to be renamed Bawku United.
