Ghana Celebrates Workers on May 1

Labour organizationsGhana will on Friday May 1 join the rest of the world to celebrate all workers under the auspices of the Organized Labour.

A special May Day Parade will be held at the Independence Square to commemorate the occasion.

President John Dramani Mahama will be the Guest of Honour at the 2015 National May Day whose theme is “Addressing the Energy Challenges, the Role of Organized Labour”.

A statement issued by Organized Labour and signed by TUC Deputy Secretary General, Dr. Yaw Baah entreated all workers to participate in the celebrations.

Labour groups are expected to seated by 830am on Friday. Regional parades will also be held in all 10 regions across the country.
