233livenews is reliably informed that the developer of the software used in the University of Ghana SRC elections last Thursday, has been picked up by officials of the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI).
The developer, Stephen Forson is reported to have been picked up by the BNI officials Tuesday dawn at his residence in Accra.
No reason has been given for his arrest however some persons have established close links between the arrest and fallout from the University of Ghana SRC elections.
The University of Ghana Student Representative Council elections which was held last Thursday ended with a provisional declaration of Mr. Davis Ohene Fobi as SRC President elect after polling 5,486 votes (69.9%) as against his main contender Mikdad Mohammed’s 2,369 votes (30.1%).
There has been allegations of vote rigging and other forms of fraudulent activities leveled against Mr. Fobi, the electoral commissioner, Bua Appiah Ohene and software developer, Stephen Forson.
Stephen Forson has been accused of manipulating the software to favour Davis Ohene Fobi.
