2015 WASSCE Begins Today

wassce examsThis year’s May/June West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) begins today.

In all,268,771 candidates, comprising 1139,843 males and 128,928 females females, are expected to write the examination at 866 centres in different parts of the country.

The Ashanti Region is presenting the highest number of 62,472 candidates, while the Upper West is presenting the lowest of 7,060.

The Eastern Region follows the Ashanti Region  with 39,821 candidates, while the Greater Accra Region presents 28,000 candidates.

The Central Region is presenting  28,312 candidates, while the Brong Ahafo and the Volta regions are presenting 26,675 and 22,980 candidates, respectively.

The Northern is presenting 23,324 candidates.


The candidates will begin the examination with Integrated Science One and Two papers, as well as Integrated Science Practicals today and follow up tomorrow with Social Studies papers one and two

End of Exams

The curtain will be drawn on the examination on May 15, 2014 with Management-In-Living as well as Technical Drawing 3 (Sketches, Building and Mechanical drawing)
