Council of the University of Ghana has approved of a change in the period of administration of re-sit exams to students.
According to a statement issued by the Public Relations office of the Student Representative Council, students are now expected to retake examinations they have previously failed in during vacations and not during the same semester when they have other examinations running concurrently.
Some students had earlier registered their displeasure over the previous system that left some unable to write certain exams because it had clashed with another examination.
The new system is expected to take effect next semester.

The SRC wishes to inform all students that the proposal that Resit Examination be rescheduled and be written during vacations has been upheld by the University Council and it is expected to commence in the next academic year (next semester onwards).
This has been the result of hard work and persistence of the SRC executives and Academic Affairs Committee of the SRC.
It is our hope that this news would help ease the struggle of students associated with Resit Examination in this institution.
