Bukom Banku 'Dies' Ayittey Powers In Judgement Day Bout

Bukom-Banku-and-Ayitey-PowersBraimah Kamoko, popularly known as Bukom Banku has defeated Ayittey Powers in the over-hyped and much anticipated bout that took place at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday night.
By unanimous decision, Bukom Banku claimed the bragging right after boxing his opponent into the 12th round through an intense pound-for-pound fist exchange.

 

Bukom Banku treated spectators to a very entertaining bout from the 5th round after Ayittey Powers showed signs of extreme exhaustion.

The seeming calm boxer had earlier insisted he would stop Ayittey Powers in the 7th round without stress.

After 12 rounds of action, Judge one scored 117,109, Judge two,119,100 and Judge three 120, 108 all in favour of Braimah Kamoko alias Bukom Banku, making him winner of the Cruiser-weight non-tittle. The victory brings to total a 27 bouts and unbeaten record for Kamoko.

The “Put up or Shut up” bout had proven to be a historic with an incredible number of over 25,000 spectators gathered at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Dubbed, the “Judgement Day”, several dignitaries including Former President Jerry Rawlings, Former World Boxing Champion Prof. Azuma Nelson, Former Black Stars Captain, Stephen Appiah, AMA Boss Alfred Oko Vanderpuiye were all present to grace the big day.

  1. Powers should never attribute his defeat to banku’s excess weight. when squirrer cant bear the load, it will say the rag under the load is not put right.he didnt display any boxing skills that shows that he’s a defeater. Let him shut up! No rematche
