The May/June West African Senior School Certificate Examination has ended successfully nationwide. A total of about 242,152 students comprising 126,919 males and 115,238 females took the examination in 809 centers nationwide. The exams started in January with practical subjects.
Most centres 233livenews visited were calm as students took the final papers, Social Studies 1 & 2 in high expectation of positive results.
Some students in an interview expressed optimism in coming out with flying colours after results of the examination are release in the coming months.
Meanwhile, some centres have recorded incidences of examination malpractices on the part of candidates who per WAEC’s new directive will have their entire results cancelled.
The West African Senior School Certificate Examination of the West African Examination Council is taken simultaneously in Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Gambia.
