#Brazil2014: Ivory Coast Names 28-Man Squad Ahead of World Cup

Ivory Coast TunisiaCoach of the senior national soccer team of Ivory Coast, Sabri Lamouchi has named his 28-man squad ahead of the 2014 FIFA World Cup set to take place in Brazil this June.

The coach named his provisional World Cup team on Tuesday after several speculations and high expectations among Ivorians.

A few surprises were 23-year-old Bolly Mathis who plays for second tier German side, Fortuna Dusseldorf and got a call up to join team while Emmanuel Eboue and Tiene Siaka who were missing from the provisional squad.

Captain Didier Drogba is however featured in the team. According to reliable information gathered by 233 Live News, Coach Sabri Lamouchi might introduce two more players to the team before pruning down to 23 to feature in the World Cup.

The Elephants of Ivory Coast will play two friendlies against Bosnia and El Salvador in US between May 20 and June.


Ivory Coast share the same group with Colombia, Greece, and Japan in Group C.
