Central Region: Teacher Commits Suicide Over Finacial Difficulty

suicide-hanging-ropeMr. Appiah Menka, a 58-year old teacher at Adisadel College in the Central Region is reported to have committed suicide in his bungalow on Sunday.

The lifeless body of the English teacher at the Cape Coast-based school was found hanging on a rope in his bungalow on the school premises around noon on Sunday.

The late Appiah Menksa is said to have left a in his pocket indicating his unending financial difficulty as well as pressure from family members, most likely reasons why he decided to take his own life.

The note which was written in red ink as reported by colleagues of the deceased teacher was titled: “No solution to my perennial financial difficulty”. The content of the note is however unknown.

Police have since conveyed the body from the scene of the incident.
