CID, DOVVSU To Investigate Accra Mall 'Pantie Theft Case'

ghana-police-service-logo1The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and the Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit (DOVVSU) have been charged by the Police administration to investigate the Accra Mall theft incidence that saw three ladies abused on Monday night.

In a statement signed by the Director General of Public Affairs, Rev. David Nenyi Ampah-Bennin, the Ghana Police Service said;

“police administration condemns in no certain terms the abuse of rights and humiliation” of the three students caught to be shoplifting.

The three ladies, on Monday night were forced to crawl out of the Accra Mall for stealing panties, braziers and lingerie from Mr. Price.

Videos and photos of the ladies crawling at the mall went viral on social media raising eyebrows with several condemning the ‘punishment’ meted out to the ladies.
