Zambia To Play Uganda In Friendly

Zambia teamZambia national football team coach Patrice Beaumelle has invited 25 players for the international friendly match to be played against Uganda at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on March 5.

Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Communications Manager told that the match between Zambia and Uganda will be played at Levy Mwanawasa stadium with an evening kickoff.

“After several consultations and engagements with different federations, we have finally settled for Uganda because of the other three teams which we lined up to play at home, none was willing to come to play in Ndola for a number of reasons,” Mwanza said.

“We were optimistic that the new stadium in Lusaka would be ready for use and our planning was around hosting the match at the National Heroes stadium. But we’ve had to adjust and switch to Ndola and disengage with other teams who on tabling Ndola requested we play away.

“Zambia versus Uganda will therefore be played Wednesday 5th March at Levy Mwanawasa stadium with the match kicking off at 17:00hours. We call on fans across the country to put that date in their diaries and schedule and turn out in numbers to cheer the team,” he added.
