President of the University of Ghana’s Student Representative Council, Eric Edem Agbana has been inconvenienced after reportedly remarking that the demolishing exercise by some National Security operatives Tuesday dawn was ‘welcoming’.
He made the remark on Radio Univers’ morning show Campus Exclusive yesterday when news of the demolishing exercise was reported. This generated numerous criticisms afterwards from all quarters including the Public Affairs Director, Mrs. Stella Amoah who said she was ‘disappointed’ in the President’s remarks.
The President however on Wednesday came out clear to deny the remark was in relation to the National Security’s demolishing exercise but the afterward free ‘flow of traffic’.
Eric Edem Agbana who was on Radio Univers’ Campus exclusive to clear the air said at the time of making his remark, the SRC was not informed about the details of the happening as to who initiated the action and if the University was in the know prior to action.
Armed National Security operatives on Tuesday dawn pulled down a structure to be used as a toll booth at the Okponglo entrance of the University of Ghana.
