President Mahama‘s 2014 annual State of the Nation Address has been postponed due to ‘unforeseen circumstances.’
According to Majority leader and Chairman of the parliamentary business committee, Hon. Benjamin Kumbour, the President, who has written to inform the Speaker of Parliament was unable to address the house on the state of the country on Thursday, 20th February as planned due to circumstances beyound control.
This will be the first time in the history of Ghana the delivery of the State of the Nation Address has been postponed.
The address will however be delivered on Tuesday 25th February.
The President of Ghana in accordance with Article 67 of the 1992 Constitution is expected to present the state of the nation address before parliament annually.
