Hair is one of women’s most beautiful and charming parts. It adds character, personality, style and, why not, sex appeal. To take care of it on a daily basis, it is very important to know how to do it right.

No need for a hairdresser, as far as you learn a few tricks on how to do it yourself. So here are a few tips on what do to and what to avoid when it comes to hair, to become your own hairdresser, not necessarily the best one on the market, but surely the one who understands you better!

First of all, pick the correct products for your hair, according to the kind of locks you have, and go for a good quality clarifying shampoo, which will help you to remove the build-up of products and chemicals that sediments on your hair between one wash and the other.

Whether your hair is fully natural or with an extension addition, always make sure to brush it gently and remove all sorts of tangles.

Don’t go too heavy on it, or the brush will ruin it. Also, don’t use it on wet hair – if you want to brush it under the shower, use a wide-toothed comb instead. The important thing is that you never pull your hair, or stress it with a brush. Also, always remember to clean your brush and combs.

Heat ruins hair in ways you don’t even imagine. That’s why you should never expose your hair to the sun during the hottest hours of the day. It would be best to cover it with a hat or a foulard, in order to protect it from heat and UV rays.

Also, allow it to air dry as often as possible – however, always make sure to go to bed with your hair dry. If air drying results complicated for you, keep your hair dryer on a low hear mode.
