Two Arrested for Allegedly Killing an Indian

HandcuffsThe Brong-Ahafo Regional Police Command has arrested two suspected armed robbers for allegedly killing a 27- year-old Indian, Rajeph Maralee Dhalan at Techiman.

They are Aturuge Apele and Abuga Anamo.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Christopher Tawiah, Brong-Ahafo Regional Police Public Relations Officer disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Sunyani on Wednesday.

He said on May 9, this year one Sudahkur 25, an Indian and a colleague of the deceased at Mary-Ghan Limited reported to the Techiman Police that they had been attacked by two armed robbers.

ASP Tawiah said they were attacked at their workplace at Anyinabreim near Techiman with machetes and guns and robbed of an unspecified amount of money, as well as killing Rajeph in the process.

He said the deceased was rushed to the Techiman Holy Family Hospital but was referred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi where he died.

ASP Tawiah said police investigations led to the arrest of the suspects to assist the police in their investigations.

He advised the general public to be security conscious and report any suspicious character of any individual or group in their communities to the police to help minimize crime.
