‘Burnt’ KFM Back On Air

KFMKumasi-based KFM which was gutted by fire on Tuesday afternoon is back on air barely 24hours after the unfortunate incident. The Citifm sister station which operates on FM 103.7 had part of its studios burnt from a faulty air conditioner according to programs manager, destroying property worth thousands of Ghana cedis on Tuesday afternoon.

The station, which occupies one of the floors on a three-story building around the Kumasi Central Market resumed transmission this morning after it was interrupted by the fire outbreak.

Programming has resumed and operations are back to normal. Fans in and around the Ashanti Region can tune in to 103.7FM to feel “the supreme difference”.

Meanwhile the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has commenced investigations into the occurrence.
