GIMPA SRC Deny Intended ‘Fees Demo’ Claims

The President of the Students Representative Council of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration, (GIMPA) has denied claims that about 700 students intend demonstrating against the school authorities.

A group of disgruntled students had earlier told XYZ News that hundreds of their colleagues intended protesting against the demand by the school administration for students who failed to meet the deadline in paying their fees and pay a penalty of 400 Ghana cedis.

However, SRC President Banjamin Essuman in an interview with XYZ News said the affected students are rather glad a window of opportunity has been accorded them by the school to defray their debt.

He said the alternative would have been an outright refusal by the school authorities to allow the defaulting students to register for this semester.
