Head Porter Remanded For Stabbing Another Person

barscuffs jailA Kumasi Circuit Court, presided over by Justice Emmanuel Amo-Yartey has ordered a head porter to be held in prison custody for allegedly stabbing a colleague.

Wahab Wuni is said to have stabbed the victim, David Iddrisu, twice in the chest with a knife, leaving him badly wounded.

The plea of the accused was not taken because Iddrisu is still on admission. He would re-appear on May 7.

Police Chief Inspector Archibald Kwesi Fandoh told the court that both men are head porters at Aboabo in Kumasi.

On April 20 this year, Iddrisu chanced upon Wuni beating up a lady and as he intervened to stop him from doing that, the latter grew angry.

This led to a struggle during which the accused pulled a knife and twice drove it through his chest.

The prosecution said the victim bled profusely and was rushed to the Accident and Emergency (A&E) Centre of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) where he was admitted.
