Last night, several Ghanaians especially fans and lovers of popular radio presenter Abeiku Aggrey Santana were held up away from their beds following rumours the Okay FM drive-time show host had died.
The rumour which was widely spread on social media indicated that the radio personality died in a fatal accident with a commercial bus on the Accra-Cape Coast road.
Contrary to the news that made rounds, Abeiku Santana is alive and fit. We can confirm there was indeed an accident on the Accra-Cape Coast road, precisely at Apam Junction where a Hyundai vehicle collided with a commercial bus claiming 11 lives and leaving several others injured and receiving treatment in surrounding hospitals.
It is unclear how the outspoken radio presenter was linked to the accident in a way that his death was rumored alongside however we know he plies the route frequently as he has some close relations in the Central Region.
Abeiku Santana is a radio and television personality with several controversial issues and actions linked to him. He hosts the ‘Akwanso Dwo Dwo’ radio drive-time show on Accra-based Okay 101.7 FM.
