This was disclosed when the family of the late regional Minister who died on Christmas day last year, paid a visit to the President at the Castle today to brief him about the burial arrangements.
“The family has agreed that if it will suit the president on the 22nd of February we will receive the corpse from the 37 Military then, 23rd which is Saturday burial will take place at his hometown,” a family member said.
The family spokesperson expressed gratitude to the president for the immediate release of the helicopter to fly the minister from the Volta Region where he felt unconscious to Accra for further treatment.
Even though their kinsman did not survive, the spokesperson expressed his gratitude nonetheless.
