As 233livenews reported earlier, fire last night gutted and detroyed property worth thousands of Ghana cedis at the Tema light industrial area.
The fire which was reported to have started around 6:45pm was from the chemical warehouse of B.B.C Paint.
Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service arrived promptly at the scene but had a tough time bringing the inferno under control. A total of about five fire engines were employed yet reinforcements were called as the fire seemed uncontrollable. The fire semen did their best to curtail the blaze from spreading to nearby factories as the warehouse wasn’t in isolation.
The cause of the fire has however, not been established.
