Head coach of the Ghana Black Stars Akwasi Appiah has expressed optimism about the injury sustained by influential midfielder, Anthony Annan.
The Osasuna midfielder landed awkwardly after an aerial challenge and had to be substituted in the Black Stars 3-0 win over the Pharaohs of Egypt.
Speaking exclusively to Citi Sports, Kwasi Appiah indicated the doctors have assured him of a quick recovery.
“It’s not a big injury and according to the doctors he should be up training tomorrow or the day after”.
Ghana will play its final friendly game against Tunisia on January 13 before departing for South Africa.
