Dr. Omane-Boamah Tasked To Coordinate Ghana’s AFCON 2013 Participation

The President of the Republic of Ghana H.E. John Dramani Mahama has assigned Dr. Edward Omane-Boamah the role of coordinating the nation’s senior soccer team’s participation in the upcoming African Cup of Nations in South Africa.

The former Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports was assigned the role earlier today as confirmed by the office of the president in a statement which was signed by the Presidential Spokesperson John Abdulai Jinapor.

Dr. Omane-Boamah’s task is to ensure Ghana’s successful preparation and participation in the tournament.

The 2013 African Nations Cup opens on January 19th and ends on February 10th, 2013.
