Asante Kotoko defender Rashid Sumaila has been dropped from Coach Kwesi Appiah’s list of players to represent Ghana at the upcoming 2013 AFCON.
The final 23-man squad for the Black Starts was revealed to the public at the press conference held earlier today.
Coach Kwesi Appiah had his job made easier for him since Olympique Marseille midfielder Andre Ayew and Yahaya Mohammed of Amidaus Professionals had already dropped from the provisional 26-man squad as a result of injury.
With just one more player to take out to get the 23-man squad, Kwesi Appiah named Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s defender, Rashid Sumaila as the sacrificial lamb.
